Single-use probes

Extraction Probe EXP2681SU

This extraction probe is designed to remove the distal cement cone. The probe's use is to be thermic embedded in the cement cone and then rotated by 90°. After the cement has solidified, separe the probe from the handset and use the Slaphammer (IPL200).

Length of the probe: 180mm
Accessories: Slaphammer IPL200 needed
Field of use: hip, knee

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Single Use Piercer OHP2080SU

The piercer has a round form, lanceolate tip with bores in the head side. Its use is to treat the cement forward and backward as well as perforating the distal cement cone. The aim is first to dissolve the bone cement  in the depth and then to transport parts of it from the depths toward to the opening.

Length of the probe: 90mm head diameter 8mm. It is extended using special extension bars, OHE2001SU and OHE2000SU, long and short respectively.
Field of use: hip, knee, shoulder

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Scraper with slim shafted piercer OHS2062SU

While operating in revision of endoprosthesis of the upper extremity the cement should be removed from the ulna and the humerus. Both of them have a smaller diameter in the corical and medullary part. The scraper with its 4mm shaft allows an optimal access. Due to the fragile nature of the slim shank these probes have been designated single use.

Length of the probe: 180mm, head diameter 6mm.
Field of use: hip, knee, shoulder

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Hoe Probe 6 mm OHH2062SU

This probe is designed to remove small pieces of cement the upper extremity revisions. Similar to the reverse scraper, the hoe probe is used in a back scraping motion to remove cement in narrow canals.

Length of the probe: 180mm, head diameter 6mm.
Field of use: hip, knee, shoulder

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Axisymmetric Reverse Scraper OHS2080SU

The axisymmetric reverse scraper has a round form and lanceolate tip. It is used for processing scraping reverse the bone cement. The bone cement is thereby transported from the depths toward to the opening.

Length of the probe: 90mm head diameter 8mm. It is extended using special extension bars, OHE2001SU and OHE2000SU, long and short respectively.
Field of use: hip, knee, shoulder

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Reverse Scraper OHS2100SU

The axisymmetric reverse scraper has a round form and lanceolate tip. It is used for processing scraping reverse the bone cement. The bone cement is thereby transported from the depths toward to the opening.

Length of the probe: 90mm head diameter 8mm. It is extended using special extension bars, OHE2001SU and OHE2000SU, long and short respectively.
Field of use: hip, knee, shoulder

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Uncemented Stem Removal

The osteotome probes are classed as single use and are designed for use with the osteotome handset only. The aim is the precise separation of the implant from the surrounding cancellous bone for easy extraction of the prosthesis. The implants are effectively isolated from the host bone by greater bone preservation. In cases where the dimension of the cancellous bone is limited and cutting the cortex becomes necessary, the Bone Cutter handpiece provides a bone cutting function.

  • Removal of good misshapen, cementless acetabular prosthesis
  • Loosening and removing a proximally coated press-fit stem
  • Loosening and removing tibial and femoral components for cemented and cementless total knee prosthesis

Following osteotomes are available for removal of the prosthesis in cemented and uncemented revisions.

Flat Serrated Osteotome Probe for specific loosening of the prosthesis-bone interface.

Length of the probe: 80mm, working length 50mm
Accessories: osteotome handset OHB300/2 required
Field of use: hip, knee, shoulder

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Flat Non Serrated Osteotome Probe OHFO2060SU

Flat non serrated osteotome probe for specific loosening of the prosthesis-bone interface.

Length of the probe: 80mm, working length 50mm

Extension bar OHE2000

This extension bar may be used on all single use probes. Please note that the performance of the handpiece may be reduced by extending the probe.

Length of the probe: 90mm

For details of application, please read carefully the instructions for use in its current version.

Slaphammer IPL200

The slaphammer is designed for working with the probe EXP2681SU to remove the distal cement cone. First set the probe in the cement and connect it with the slaphammer.
